DAGA 2016

For the fourth time, the DAGA conference will be taking place in Aachen. The DAGA 2016 is hosted and organized by colleagues from RWTH Aachen University. The RWTH Aachen was founded in 1870, originally named "Königlich rheinisch-westfälische Polytechnische Schule zu Aachen". Today, it is comprised of nine faculties offering 130 study programs to a total of 42,000 students, with special focuses on engineering, natural sciences, and medicine. Interdisciplinary activities, which connect these academic fields and the corresponding faculties, are organized in forums and competence centers such as HumTec, the CAMPUS-Clusters for Medical Engineering and Power Engineering, as well as numerous joint projects within the research center as part of the “JARA – Jülich Aachen Research Alliance.” Colleagues from these institutions are involved in shaping the DAGA program in many ways.

The DAGA 2016 conference will be held at the Conference Center Eurogress Aachen situated in the beautiful Aachener Kurpark. The historic city center is well within walking distance, where you will find various evening activities. Also, make sure to spare some time for the historic side of Aachen: Centre Charlemagne, Town Hall (“Rathaus”) with its coronation hall, the old city with all its restaurants and pubs, and, of course, the Cathedral can be recommended.
